Harkey Construction along with Ty Marestein of Mary's Pizza Shack initiated fundraising efforts to save the Town of Windsor's annual fireworks display after the Town of Windsor cancelled the event due to budget constraints. Harkey Construction & Mary's Pizza Shack then brought in the Windsor High School Boosters to take over the event and rockets flew! The annual fireworks event not only happened, but was one of the most spectacular shows ever!
Sonoma County Showcase was an Exciting Show!
Harkey Construction participated in our first trade show at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds Grace Pavilion on Saturday, May 30th. Harkey Construction was positively greeted by the community and even from folks from around the world. Mead Clark Lumber Co., Inc. donated two pairs of Giants tickets for the raffle prizes and the winners were Janet Hilton & Lisa Lyon both of Santa Rosa. Congratulations Janet & Lisa!
Harkey Says Go Green with the Sonoma County Energy Independence Program!
Sonoma County's Energy Independence Program, (SCEIP) is a new opportunity for you, the property owner, to finance energy efficiency, water efficiency and renewable energy improvements through a voluntary assessment. These assessments will be attached to the property, not the owner and will be paid back through the property tax system over time, making the program not only energy efficient but also affordable. Harkey Teams with Renowned Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Stanley Jacobs!
Harkey Construction was the selected General Building Contractor for the tenant improvements for Dr. Stanley Jacobs new 5,000 sq. ft. medical facility located in Healdsburg. The tenant improvement involved converting two units into one medical facility. The facility is state-of-the-art, both in medicine and artistry with completely new operating rooms, treatment rooms, an elegant waiting room and an art gallery.
Employee Spotlight
Lonnie Carpenter has been an asset to Harkey Construction for seven years. Lonnie started his employment at Harkey Construction as a Journeyman Carpenter and quickly proved himself to be a Project Foreman and then ultimately a Project Manager/Estimator. Lonnie has 35 years of experience in the construction industry and is a master craftsman. Harkey Construction would like to give a big shout-out to Lonnie for his continued dedication and service to the company!
